Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cake

One of the teachers my mom works with makes this every fall and it is delicious. My mom knows
how much I like it so she saves it for me for when I go home at some point in October for my birthday. The pumpkin filling makes it super moist. It's so good it almost makes me want fall. almost.

Ingredients:
1 cup oil
4 eggs
2 cups pumpkin
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Mix all of the ingredients and bake in a greased 9x13 pan for 1 hour 10 minutes.
Serve warm with cool whip or ice cream.

Notes: Since I'm convinced baking is all about precise measurements and instructions, I know there is a technically correct order to mix the ingredients but like most cooking in my household we go for simplicity and making it up as you go along. Maybe one day I'll have baked more than a couple times and be able to tell you what that order is.
